Squared Table is a furniture design exploration, based on how angles and distances affect human interactions.
The shape of a table “shapes” the relations around it.
The depth of the wood in Cedrus Libani gives the solid idea of a central element in the house, where exchanges happen.
Dining tables are a central element in the Mediterranean culture, but they have not been updated to modern roles.
The Squared Table doesn’t give a power position to anyone, and interactions are equally distributed across it.
The matte red tint acts as a character emphasizer, and the atmosphere created by the light reflection is intimate and warm.
